LASER SHAFT ALIGNMENT

Quick and accurate with documented results.  Complete Engineering Services Laser Alignment Services take less time than straight edge or dial gauge methods and achieve greater accuracy.  A pre-alignment report is available if required.  Results are also documented with a detailed printed alignment report. Tolerating even slight parallel or angular misalignment has many detrimental effects on rotating machinery including:

  • Increased friction will increase energy consumption
  • Poor seal performance with excessive leakage
  • Premature shaft and coupling failure
  • Premature bearing and seal failure
  • Foundation damage
  • Increased vibration and noise

 VIBRATION ANALYSIS

"If a fault develops and goes undetected then at best the problem will not be too serious and can be remedied quickly and cheaply; at worst, it may result in expensive damage and downtime injury or even loss of life”

Edwards et al.,1998

Using Vibration Analysis the health of a machine can be constantly monitored with detailed analysis assessing faults which may be developing or have already developed.  Utilising Vibration Analysis as the cornerstone of a Predictive Maintenance program (PdM) will enable convenient scheduling of corrective maintenance and prevent unexpected equipment failures. Cost savings will be achieved over existing time-based or routine maintenance programs as maintenance is only performed when a fault exists.  Expensive reactive maintenance or ‘Fire Fighting’ can be avoided.  A Vibration Analysis program will provide advance warning of developing faults, enabling corrective action to be completed before machine damage and unplanned shutdown results.

Vibration Analysis will detect the following faults:

  • Misalignment of couplings, bearings and gears
  • Unbalance of rotating components
  • Looseness
  • Bearing wear
  • Gear wear
  • Rubbing
  • Flow problems in fans, blowers and pumps
  • Electrical problems (Rotor faults in motors)
  • Resonance
  • Eccentricity of rotating components

Get ‘The right information at the right time’ through Vibration Analysis and achieve higher plant availability, increased productivity, lower maintenance costs, increased machine life, and spare parts optimization.
